About Us

Tomas fell in love with Setters at a young age. His dad purchased a started dog from their local barber when he was about 15 years old. She came directly from Tekoa Mountain Sunrise x Lookout Mona. Tomas and Candy cut their teeth together chasing birds as often as possible. Candy passed away when Tomas was in his early 20s where Tomas decided to attend Triple Crown Dog Training Acadamy in Texas for dog training where he became a Certified K-9 Trainer and Behavioral Specialist. After he graduated, he started training Labradors with his mentor Brick Hejlik. Tomas missed setters so much he purchased Sugar from Jason Patty with Skyview Setters as a puppy and was hooked once again. Tomas and Sugar traveled and hunted in a few different states and taught each other the ropes of starting and finishing a dog during the time Iowa really lacked birds. Tomas now has 7 setters, and starting to work on his own breeding program focusing on early starting, stylish, hard hunting "meat dogs". Tomas' passion for upland hunting runs deep. He has been on his Pheasants Forever BOD for 21 years, and loves to get people outdoors. Whether hes guiding at Highland Hideway in Riverside Iowa, or when hes mentoring youth alongside his partner Steph for Outdoor Mentors, where Tomas earned Iowa Mentor of the Year in 2023. Tomas also hosts his own Veteran Hunts working with organizations like Heroes Hunting, and Frontlines United. 

English Setters. We have run lines concentrated with Skyview, Tekoa Mountain, Ridge Creek Cody, and Jetsetter., and Erins Wild Atlantic Way. We focus on having hard hunting, early starting, stylish gun, and family dogs.
